1st phase of Teaching practice

The first phase of teaching practice was started from 30th November to 12th December 2020. I got placed in thr nearby school named Govt. Girls HSS Mavelikara which is nearby over college. The school is assigned to me by Prof. Boby sir our head of physical education department. Before starting the class on 29th November 2020, I requested the concerned teacher of government girls Mavelikara for taking class and principal also allowed me to taking the classes. The principal and the concerned teacher was so cooperative and help me to properly taking my classes. The Prajith sir, business studies sir assigned me the portion planning, the 4th chapter of the business studies text. I took the class via Google meet platform and most of the students attended the class. The total strength of the class is 56 students and about 34 students are properly attended the class the balance students doesn't have enough technical support so they can't able to connect the class properly. For that students I provide notes and PowerPoint presentation through the WhatsApp group. The students of the class was so cooperative and and helps to maintain a good learning environment with the students. Mostly my classes was taken from 7 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. That was the concerned time allotted by the teacher. I took the class with the help of a powerpoint presentation which contains example, situational task activities to the students. I explained the content by connecting with the day to day examples. I conducted a MCQ test on khoot platform which contains the questions from the chapter planning. It helps to gain a competitive spirit in the students and led to learning the content more actively. On one Saturday I took a physical education class about the topic first aid. I included different videos related to providing CPR,  first aid for Snake bite etc. In most of my classes, our teachers Prof. Bobby Oommen Kurein, Dr. Renginy. K.R and Sony Mary Varghese was joined and evaluate the class. They provide necessary feedback for taking the class more effectively. At the end of the teaching practice I conducted a model test related to the content.
